Attractions in Valdosta, Georgia

Troupville was established in Lowndes County in 1837. When its citizens heard that the company behind the Atlantic and Gulf Railroad established a right of way four miles south, they moved the city there and renamed it Valdosta. Valdosta sits in the southern part of the state of Georgia approximately 20 miles from the Florida state line. The city offers parks, museums, performing arts and other attractions for all ages to enjoy.
