Brown County offers visitors several locations at which to enjoy outdoor activities. The most popular is Brown County State Park, Indiana's largest state park, opened in 1929 and visited by millions of tourists each year. Visitors can enjoy activities such as camping, horseback riding, hiking, swimming and fishing. They also can view the park's many species of animals and flowers, as well as picnics amid the park's scenic vistas. The park is open from March through November and offers parking that accommodates all vehicle types.

Brown County is known for its antique, craft and specialty art stores. Among them is the Brown County Craft Gallery, a 30-year-old arts and crafts store on Nashville's Main Street. The galley features handcrafted items, including pottery, jewelry, baskets, handmade soaps and folk art dolls, made by local artisans and available for purchase year-round. The gallery is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding major holidays.

Visitors can enjoy music and theater entertainment at several locations around the county. The most well-known location is the Little Nashville Opry House, a major venue for country singing stars for more than 30 years. Concerts featuring artists such as Mel Tillis and Sawyer Brown are held on Friday and Saturday nights, and guests can buy tickets to the concerts for as little as $10. Concert times are 8 p.m. Fridays and 6, 7 or 9:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
