The Stephenville Museum is a small museum with 10 19th-century buildings. The museum grounds include the Chapel on the Bosque and the Center Grove Schoolhouse, both of which are available for events such as weddings. The Stephenville Museum hosts two annual events: Bygone Days and the Native & Heirloom Plant Fair. Both events are free and open to the public. The museum is open to the public Friday through Sunday until 5 p.m.

Clyde H. Wells Fine Art Center at Tarleton State University is Stephenville's preeminent arts venue. Boasting a small art gallery, an auditorium, a small theater space and a workshop theater, the Center regularly hosts theater, music and art events. All events are open to the public. Ticket prices vary but are reasonable. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Center's art gallery is free to the public and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Cross Timbers Country Opry is a small, family-friendly music venue situated one mile east of Stephenville on Highway 377. Bright and lively, the Cross Timbers Country Opry welcomes families, church groups, clubs and individuals who are looking to have some good ol' fashioned Texas fun! Presenting a different show every weekend, the Country Opry opens on Saturday nights at 6 p.m. and offers senior, student and group rates at the door. Reservations are available by phone. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $7 for adults aged 65 and older, and $4 for anyone under the age of 18.
