    Ristorante Al Teatro

    • Ristorante Al Teatro, a Chicago World's Fair--themed Italian restaurant, resides in a historic 1892 opera house called Thalia Hall. The décor is elegant and whimsical in a classic 19th century Chicago way, with brass cash registers, gold railings and hand-painted murals that are reminiscent of 1893 World Fair posters. The menu features house-made pasta, gnocchi, and lasagna, while the pizza bar literally takes the stage on the original Thalia stage and offers 20 choices of Italian pies. The owners are also responsible for Wicker Park's Caffe Gelato, so you know they're quite familiar with tasty desserts. Ristorante Al Teatro is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday and also offers Sunday brunch.
