Who invented the Russian language?

There is no single inventor of the Russian language. The Russian language developed over many centuries, evolving from Old Russian, which was spoken in the 9th to 13th centuries. Old Russian was a Slavic language that was influenced by other languages, such as Greek, Latin, and Turkic. Over time, Old Russian evolved into Middle Russian, which was spoken from the 14th to the 17th centuries. Middle Russian was further influenced by the languages of neighboring countries, such as Poland and Lithuania. Modern Russian developed from Middle Russian in the 18th century.
