What nationality are Brazilians?

Brazilians are of many different nationalities; however, the overwhelming majority, approximately 88%, identify as Brazilian in terms of nationality and ethnicity. There are also numerous minority groups present in Brazil with varying backgrounds, including German, African, Italian, Japanese, Arab, Portuguese, Spanish, Indigenous American, and many others.
