Safeway's Policies on Hiring 13-14 Year Olds
Safeway states on their website that they generally "do not offer jobs to candidates who are under the age of 16, due to the limitations of the type of work that 14 and 15-year-old candidates can perform."
However, Safeway goes on to say, "However, we do hire candidates at 14 and 15 years of age for two specific jobs: courtesy clerks and cart collectors. These jobs are available to candidates who have a valid work permit."
Additional Information
If you are interested in working at Safeway, you can apply online or at your local store. You will need to provide your work permit and proof of age when you apply.
