Avoid making eye contact with strangers. Making eye contact makes you memorable. Do not make eye contact with anyone in a crowd. However, you should make momentary eye contact with security guards to avoid raising suspicions.
Speak to as few people as possible. When you do have to speak to someone, such as a security guard or attendant, speak as little as possible. Just answer any questions.
Try not to draw attention to yourself in any way. Don't flaunt money, jewelry, credit cards, wallets, purses, cell phones or cameras. Conceal your money in a money belt under clothing. Don't do anything to stand out.
Walk in a subdued manner. Slow your gait down, and look at the floor as you walk. Looking meek, rather than authoritative, helps you look inconspicuous.
Get in the middle of lines. When boarding a plane, never be the first or last person on or off the aircraft. Be in the middle of the crowd whenever possible.
Stay in the lavatory prior to departure. Avoid open spaces such as waiting areas.
Dress in clothing that is common or typical for the area. Avoid looking like a tourist.
