Visit the website of a mapping service such as Google Maps or MapQuest. Several mapping services are available online and many of them are free.
Select the "directions" option. Enter your starting address. Include as much information about the address as you can so that your directions will be more accurate.
Input the address of a place that you wish to travel through on the way to your final destination. This location should be on the road that you will travel, and it should be near a town or city through which you'll travel. Enter this address in the destination "B" section of the directions field.
Enter your final destination by selecting "Add Stop" from the directions options. Again, be sure to add in as much information as you can about the address.
Choose an option such as "travel by fastest/shortest route," "avoid highways" or "avoid tollways" if there are specific types of roads you have those preferences. This option may be best if you know that you want to stay off of main roads.
