Bayou Shores RV Resort is an 84-site RV resort situated near Galveston's historic district. The full-hookup resort, which overlooks the bay, offers opportunities for swimming, fishing and boating, and guests may rent a paddle boat from the resort. Additional facilities include restrooms, showers and a laundry room, as well as a boat ramp and pier. Pets are allowed, and children have access to a playground. Bayou Shores hosts an on-site bar and restaurant for dining and drinking throughout the week. Bayou Shores offers daily, weekly and monthly rates.

Galveston Island State Park is open to both RVers and tent campers. The state park offers a variety of different campsites, some of which have 50-amp electric hookups and water. Guests can choose between beachfront sites located directly in front of the water, or slightly cheaper sites located further inland. Beachfront sites come with additional amenities such as a fire ring, picnic table and outdoor shelter. Campground facilities include restrooms, shower and a fish-cleaning area. Recreational opportunities are numerous, and visitors have access to four miles of trails for either hiking or biking, as well as a concrete boat ramp.

Jamaica Beach RV Park is a full hookup park located near the ocean. The park offers pull-through RV sites, along with cable TV and wireless Internet access. Jamaica Beach contains a variety of facilities, including restrooms, showers, a laundry room and an exercise room. Recreational facilities include a pool and spa, game room and a playground. Guests also have access to a mini-golf course, although the course is not free. Guests receive a free daily paper, and may order a discounted breakfast of sausage and waffles. Jamaica Beach RV Park offers daily, weekly and monthly rates, with seasonal variations in price.
