What do children in Oman wear?

Children in Oman typically wear traditional Omani clothing, such as the dishdasha for boys and the abaya for girls. The dishdashas are long, ankle-length robes, while the abayas are long, loose-fitting dresses that cover the entire body except the face and hands. Both items of clothing are usually made from cotton or linen and are often decorated with embroidery or other embellishments.

Girls may also wear the jilbab, a long cloak-like garment that covers the entire body, while boys may wear the kufi, a small, rounded cap. In more rural areas, children may wear traditional tribal clothing, such as the sirwal, a loose-fitting trouser, and the thobe, a long, loose-fitting shirt.
