Unlocking the full map roster in Driver 2 (PlayStation, 2000) requires progressing through the Career mode's mission structure. The game gates its four cities—Chicago, Havana, Las Vegas, and Rio de Janeiro—behind specific mission completions. Here's exactly what you need to do.
Requirement: Complete all missions in Mission 1 (Chicago) in either Career mode or Freeplay mode.
Chicago is the starting city. Its mission tree includes main storyline missions and side jobs. You must finish every mission available in the Chicago chapter. Once the final Chicago mission is cleared, Las Vegas unlocks automatically for both Career and Freeplay selection.
Requirement: Complete all missions in Mission 10 (Las Vegas), excluding Getaway 4.
This is the final unlock. Mission 10 is the Las Vegas chapter. You must clear every mission in that chapter except "Getaway 4." Once done, Rio de Janeiro becomes available.
| City | Unlock Condition |
|---|---|
| Chicago | Available from start |
| Havana | Unlocked during Chicago progression (mid-game) |
| Las Vegas | Complete ALL Chicago missions (Mission 1) |
| Rio de Janeiro | Complete ALL Las Vegas missions (Mission 10) except Getaway 4 |
Havana unlocks organically during the Chicago mission arc (around Mission 5–6). You don't need to "complete Havana" to reach Las Vegas—just finish Chicago's full mission list.
Once Rio is unlocked, all four cities are playable in Freeplay, Take a Ride, and multiplayer modes. Happy driving!
