In doing so, they introduced a host of new rules, which have been tweaked and amended over the following months and years. With all the changes, it can be difficult to ascertain what can and cannot be carried on to a commercial airliner. If you are planning a trip and have prescription drugs you want to keep with you, you will want to follow a few steps to ensure they won't be taken away from you while going through security.

Check that your liquid medications have the proper labels, including your name. Your name should match the one on your government-issued identification cards, such as your driver's license.
