U.S. Federal Holidays in February: Only Presidents' Day

The only official federal holiday in February in the United States is Presidents' Day, observed on the third Monday of the month. It honors George Washington's birthday (February 22) and, in many states, Abraham Lincoln's (February 12). No other federal holidays occur in February. The claim of five federal bank holidays in February is incorrect. Banks may observe additional state or local holidays, but at the federal level, Presidents' Day stands alone.
