2 Dollars Coin 1976

The 1976 two dollar coin is the first circulating two-dollar coin to be issued in Trinidad and Tobago. It was issued to commemorate the country's 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery. Approximately 1 Million to 2 Million of the coins were Minted. Today in 2019, if any of these coins are in good condition, or mint condition that is considered extremely rare, and it can be valued up to $250 US dollars

Three Dollar Gold Proof Coin 1980

1980 saw the minting and issuing of the first ever three dollar coin from the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. The coin is made out of 22 carat gold and is 39MM in diameter. The first three dollar gold proof coin was issued in 1980 and minted by Franklin Mint. According to the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, only 25,000 of these coins were issued and sold exclusively to the National Commercial Bank and Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). All sold out within a matter of hours. The estimated Value of these coins now is $2,500 US Dollars.

Silver $10 Coin 1979

In April 1979, the country produced its first ever local circulating ten dollar coin. As with the circulating two dollar coin, the ten dollar coin was also used to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery. There were 75,000 of these coins minted in 1979 and were valued and sold at $28.00 TT and then later increased to $40.00 TT.
