What is currency and value against the American dollar?

Currency refers to the form of money that is used as a medium of exchange and store of value in a particular country or region. The American dollar is the currency of the United States and one of the most widely used currencies globally. The value of a currency against another currency is determined by foreign exchange rates, which fluctuate based on a combination of economic, political, and market factors.

As of my last update in September 2021, here are the currencies of a few countries and their approximate values against the American dollar:

1. Euro (EUR): 1 EUR = approximately 1.18 USD

2. British Pound (GBP): 1 GBP = approximately 1.39 USD

3. Japanese Yen (JPY): 1 JPY = approximately 0.0090 USD

4. Swiss Franc (CHF): 1 CHF = approximately 1.09 USD

5. Canadian Dollar (CAD): 1 CAD = approximately 0.79 USD

6. Australian Dollar (AUD): 1 AUD = approximately 0.74 USD

7. Chinese Yuan (CNY): 1 CNY = approximately 0.15 USD

8. Indian Rupee (INR): 1 INR = approximately 0.013 USD

It's important to note that foreign exchange rates are constantly changing due to various factors such as economic data releases, monetary policies, geopolitical events, and supply and demand dynamics. Therefore, it is recommended to consult up-to-date sources for the most current currency values.
