Why is the pyramid of Giza on American 1 dollar bill?

There is no pyramid on the American 1 dollar bill. The pyramid on the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States is on the back of the one-dollar bill. The pyramid and the all-seeing eye, representing providence, were chosen as symbols of strength and durability for the new country.
