Ann Lake Campground is located in the Sand Dunes State Forest just outside of Zimmerman, Minnesota. It has two handicapped-accessible camp sites along with 28 drive-in sites, four group sites and 15 horse sites. Each campsite has forest and vegetation around it so you'll feel isolated from neighbors. Though the Ann Lake Campground is rustic and wooded, it has toilets, drinking water and garbage cans. Fish or swim on Ann Lake, eat lunch in a designated picnic area or go for a hike on the three-mile nature trail.

The Jay Cooke State Park Campground is open year-round, even during Minnesota's famously cold and snowy winters. You can reserve campsites and camper cabins up to a year in advance, which is especially important if you want to use more than one site. There are traditional drive-in sites for easy camping, and backpack and walk-in sites if you want to hike. Spend your day walking the Willard Munger State Trail, biking the rough terrain, or on the swinging suspension bridge above the St. Louis River.
