Lay the screen on a large work surface. Open your screen repair kit; locate the piece of repair screen. Unfold the screen, and place it over the problem area so it overlaps the tear by at least 2 inches in all directions.
Cut the screen to the appropriate size using a pair of scissors.
Smooth out the area, and apply adhesive around the tear. Don't apply too much adhesive, or the piece will not stick properly. Refer to the kit instructions for exact amounts
Press down firmly for 30 seconds. Use an old book or board to protect your hands from the glue.
Let the screen dry for 30 minutes. Check the screen for gaps or holes between the patch and the old screen.
