Meningitis can occasionally be a problem in tropical areas such as Mauritius. Ask your nurse to confirm if vaccination against Meningitis A & C and Meningitis ACWY is advisable.
Zika: Zika virus is currently not a threat in Mauritius, however it is wise to take precautions against being bitten by mosquitos to prevent infection.
