How to Start Jetpack Joyride Without Crashing Immediately

In Jetpack Joyride, your character Barry Steakfries bursts through a lab wall at the start of each run. To avoid an instant face-plant into the opposite wall:

Tap and hold the screen immediately. This activates the jetpack, lifting Barry into a hover. Release to descend. The game's physics reward rhythmic tapping—short bursts maintain altitude; long holds climb; quick taps feather downward.

The opening corridor is straight. No steering needed yet. Just establish a stable hover at mid-screen height. Obstacles (zappers, missiles, lasers) appear shortly after. Master the tap rhythm first; survival follows.
