Check on the dining arrangements for the children at the daycare center in the resort. Ask when mealtimes are, whether you can join them for their meal and if you can pack snacks. Don't assume the daycare allows snacks.
Determine if your child is too clingy to be with strangers in a strange country. You might have to spend a few days of your vacation in daycare with your child as they get use to new people. Your child may only handle a few hours of separation or no separation from you at all. Expect the worst case scenario.
Prepare yourself for the stress a babysitter at a daycare might cause your child. Remember this is a vacation at the Eternal City the closest place to heaven on earth. There is no room for stress. Do your best to include your child, but sometimes it is just better to leave them at home.
