Whether you want to ride with a group or ride on your own, Biking Las Vegas can help you find new rides.

      Another option is to join a special event like the Goldilocks Las Vegas bike ride, the first women's only bike event in Nevada. Select from distances of 20, 40 or 60 miles. Each route begins and ends at Rainbow Family Park. Preregister online for the noncompetitive ride. Both experienced and inexperienced cyclists are welcome. Men can volunteer to help, but cannot ride in the event.

    College of Southern Nevada Planetarium

    • Learn about the night sky at the planetarium.

      Known locally as the CSN Planetarium, this college based facility offers shows to the general public on their domed screen on Fridays and Saturdays. They are the only planetarium in the region and also work with local school districts for student programs. Topics include Bad Astronomy: Myths and Misconceptions, Star Gazing, Secrets of the Sun and Molecularium: Riding a Snowflake, a science lesson-like presentation on atoms and molecules.
