How to Plan a Train Trip From San Bernardino to the Grand Canyon on Amtrak

Amtrak is the premier intercity passenger railroad in the United States with over 21,000 route miles in 46 states. Over 300 trains operate each day at speeds of up to 150 miles per hour. All carry-on bags must be visibly tagged with the name and address of their owners. Amtrak has increased its security measures as of summer 2010 adding more police officers on trains. Booking a trip from San Bernardino, California to the Grand Canyon in Arizona is relatively easy; however note, especially if traveling with small children, that it is an overnight train ride.
