How much rainfall does tropical rainforest have?

Tropical rainforests receive an enormous amount of rainfall throughout the year. On average, they receive between 50 to 260 inches (125 to 660 centimeters) of rainfall annually, making them the wettest biome on Earth. Some tropical rainforests, particularly along the western coasts of continents or near mountain ranges, can even receive rainfall exceeding 400 inches or 10 meters per year.
