- be at least 18 years old
- have a valid driver's license
- have completed a state-approved driver's education course, unless an exemption is granted
- pass a vision test
- pass a written knowledge test
- pass a behind-the-wheel driving test
- pay the required fees.
Once all of these requirements are met, you will be issued a probationary driver's license. This license is valid for one year and allows you to drive unsupervised. After one year, you will be eligible to receive a full unrestricted license.
