In Georgia how long do you have to wait drive others?

In the state of Georgia, you must:

- be at least 18 years old

- have a valid driver's license

- have completed a state-approved driver's education course, unless an exemption is granted

- pass a vision test

- pass a written knowledge test

- pass a behind-the-wheel driving test

- pay the required fees.

Once all of these requirements are met, you will be issued a probationary driver's license. This license is valid for one year and allows you to drive unsupervised. After one year, you will be eligible to receive a full unrestricted license.
