- In California, the Joyner Trooper 2 is not street legal as an ATV as it does not meet the requirement for a rear-view mirror and a windshield to be used on public roads.
- In Pennsylvania, although an ATV is not explicitly listed as "street legal," the state follows "common law" principles which states that an ATV or OHRV may not be operated on the public roadways or sidewalks with the following two exceptions:
(1) An OHRV may cross a public roadway or sidewalk at an intersection to reach another OHRV trail; or
(2) An OHRV may use a state-designated paved road or highway only to travel between two trails or property.
