The wettest regions in China are:

- The southeastern coast. This region includes the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, and Hainan. It receives an average of more than 1,500 millimeters (59 inches) of rain per year.

- The southwest. This region includes the provinces of Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guangxi, and Tibet. It receives an average of more than 1,000 millimeters (39 inches) of rain per year.

- The northeast. This region includes the provinces of Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang. It receives an average of more than 600 millimeters (24 inches) of rain per year.
