How many aircraft carriers does China have?

China currently has two operational aircraft carriers.

- Liaoning - Type 001

- Shandong - Type 002

A third carrier, Fujian, Type 003 launched in in June 2022 and sea trials will start in 2023. Construction on a forth and fifth has started. Type 004 will be nuclear-powered.
