Do deltas stay in one place?
Deltas are dynamic landforms that can change over time, but they generally remain in the same general area. Deltas are formed by the deposition of sediment at the mouth of a river, and as long as the river continues to flow and transport sediment, the delta will continue to grow. However, deltas can be affected by changes in the river's flow, sea level, and sediment supply, which can cause them to change shape or even migrate over time.
