  1. Clearwater

    • Clearwater is part of Pinellas County and is on the northern part of the sun coast region. Sandpearl resort offers 700 feet of beachfront right on Clearwater Beach. The resort has 253 guestrooms and suites with amenities such as a spa, fitness center, onsite restaurant and lagoon-style swimming pool with poolside cabanas.     Saint Petersburg

    • Saint Petersburg is about 20 miles south of Clearwater and is located on a peninsula separating Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.     Sarasota

Pitch a tent by the beach or park your RV at one of the 40 campsites. Amenities include boat ramps, electricity and cable TV hookups, kayak and canoe launch area, picnic shelters, fishing areas and playground. Boat and explore the Turtle Beach Lagoon or pier fish from the Turtle Beach Marina -- both are within walking distance from the camp. Fish species you may find include largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish and perch.

    Naples

    • Naples, at the south tip of the Suncoast, offers nature excursions in Everglades National Park or at the Big Cypress Preserve. The Naples Bay Resort and has luxuries like private balconies, suites with gourmet kitchens, a 97-slip marina, spa and swimming pool. The resort offers cottage units that are suited for longer stays. All guests have full access to the fitness center, locker rooms, steam room, sauna, hot tubs and tennis center. The Everglades National Park is 30 minutes away. At the park, you can explore the wetlands and view animals such as tropical birds, dolphins, alligators, small sharks and the Florida panther.
