Campgrounds on the Space Coast in Florida

The pleasant Florida weather makes camping an inviting proposition any time of year. Whether your idea of roughing it includes a fully equipped RV or a simple tent and sleeping bags, Florida's Space Coast campgrounds have a lot to offer. The Space Coast is a region on Florida's eastern coast that surrounds Kennedy Space Center, near Cape Canaveral.
  1. Manatee Hammock

    • Manatee Hammock is located on the Intracoastal waterway south of Titusville. It's shady, peaceful and a great place to watch Kennedy Space Center launches. RV camping is available with water, sewer and electric hookups. Individual and group camping areas are available with water and electric. Amenities include a recreation area with Wi-Fi, a swimming pool and pavilion, hot showers, grills and a laundry room. Fishing is encouraged from the shoreline and the pier.

    Jetty Park

    • Jetty Park is a popular recreation spot located on a 4.5-acre beachfront in Cape Canaveral. Recreational highlights include a 24-hour, 1,200-foot fishing pier fully equipped with lighting, tables and running water for cleaning fish. Fully equipped campsites are available for RVs, and tent campsites range from rustic to enhanced with water, sewer and electric. The park offers special wheelchairs made for the beach that allow handicap access to the beach and the pier. Jetty Park is the best place to watch the cruise ships come in.

    Sebastian Inlet State Park

    • The jetties at Sebastian Inlet are prime locations for anglers looking to hook snook, redfish, Spanish mackerel and bluefish. Other activities include surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling and shelling on 3 miles of beach. Fully equipped campsites are available for RVs and tents. Campground amenities include free beach wheelchairs, handicap-accessible bathrooms, a dumping station, a Wi-Fi hotspot and a boat ramp.

      Two museums are located inside Sebastian Inlet State Park. The McLarty Treasure Museum, dedicated to lore and artifacts from the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet, sits on the very site of the fleet survivor's camp. The Sebastian Fishing Museum documents the history of area fishing and the lives of the fishermen who made a living on the Indian River Lagoon.
