How much salt is there in Black Sea?
The Black Sea is not very salty. It is the least saline sea in the world, with an average salinity of about 17 промилле (‰), which is about 17 grams of salt per kilogram of seawater. This is in comparison to the average ocean salinity, which is about 35‰. The low salinity of the Black Sea is due to the large amount of freshwater that flows into it from rivers such as the Danube, the Dnieper, and the Dniester.
