Why does the Arctic Circle have 24 hours of daylight?

The Arctic Circle does NOT have 24 hours of daylight.

During summer, the sun will rise and set at some point of the day at all locations on Earth. However, at locations such as the Arctic Circle, the sun will not set as low as it does in more Southern locations. During winter, the opposite occurs, and the sun will never rise above the horizon at locations on the Arctic Circle.
