Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of Westminster, which is the largest four-faced chiming clock in the world. The clock is located at the north-eastern end of the Houses of Parliament in London, England. The clock tower was designed by Augustus Pugin and completed in 1858. The bell was cast in 1856 and named after Sir Benjamin Hall, the First Commissioner of Works at the time. The clock is a popular tourist attraction and is one of the most recognisable symbols of London.
