The Caribbean Shores Hotel & Cottages is a 26-unit family-owned and operated business. While the property is not on Jensen Beach, it overlooks the Indian River Lagoon. Local activities include the FP&L Energy Encounter at the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant, with its hands-on displays and games that teach visitors about nuclear power. In addition, Gilbert's Bar House of Refuge Museum is the oldest building in the area and features a museum displaying maritime artifacts and personal items that belonged to the "keeper" of the house of refuge.
