    Arrifana Surf Camp, Portugal

    Kitesurfing in Tarifa, Spain

    • For travelers who desire something new and adventurous, while still keeping to a budget, kitesurfing in Tarifa, Spain, is an affordable option. Tarifa is on the very southern tip of Spain on the Strait of Gibraltar. According to Tarifa.net, Tarifa is "The Wind Capital," with wind direction and reliability conducive to surfing.

While airfare to New Zealand is higher than for other destinations, deals can be found with budget airlines and seat sales.
