Where did St Day start?

The earliest records of St Day date back to the 6th century when a Cornish saint, Day (or St Day), is believed to have established a monastery along the River Red in the area. There is evidence that there may have been human activity in the area as early as the Neolithic period, with a prehistoric burial chamber, known as the Lanyon Quoit, located nearby.
