Turn off the engine on the Beaver Marquis. Pop open the hood.
Turn on the battery isolator. Allow at least 10 minutes for the device to warm up. The isolator is a motor coach battery charging device that forces apart the power of the RV alternator from the power between the RV battery and the isolator. This feature prohibits interruption or damage from the alternator while the charging takes place.
Adjust the isolator amps to between 13.25 and 13.75 volts. Voltage in excess of 14 volts can power a drained RV battery too fast and cause permanent damage.
Clasp jumper cables to the Beaver Marquis battery. Clasp the red -- or hot -- cable to the positive clamp and clasp the black -- or cold -- cable to the negative clamp.
Clasp the opposite end of the red -- or hot -- cable to the main screw of the isolator. Clasp the opposite end of the black -- or cold -- cable to the auxiliary screw of the isolator. Allow the battery to charge for at least three hours.
Keep the isolator at 2 volts if the RV battery is completely dead. Allow the battery to charge, uninterrupted for at least three days to prevent overheating and frying the battery.
