Is same-sex marriage legal in Panama?

As of August 2023, same-sex marriage is not legal in Panama. The country does not recognize or grant any legal rights to same-sex couples. Although some progress has been made in advancing LGBTQ+ rights in Panama, such as allowing adoption by single LGBTQ+ individuals, full recognition of same-sex relationships is yet to be achieved.
