Short Tours of Europe

Touring Europe, with thousands of cities and dozens of countries from which to choose, can be intimidating to a traveler. If you only have a short amount of time to spend on the tour, visit areas concentrated with tourist destinations so you spend less time traveling from place to place. Take a tour of London, Paris and Belgium or travel to Germany, Switzerland and Austria, to see dozens world-famous monuments and attractions.
  1. Bus Tour of Western Europe

    • Spend three days on a bus tour departing from Amsterdam, Holland, and ending in Paris, France. Visit Brussels, the capital of Belgium, and see the Atomium, a giant metal replica of an atom, and the Grand Place, which is blanketed with millions of blooms for a celebration in August.     Danube River Cruise

    • Take a seven-day cruise tour of the Danube River to visit four European countries. Start in Budapest, Hungary, with a walking tour that includes Fisherman's Bastion and Heroes' Square. Go on a scavenger hunt and whitewater rafting in Bratislava, Slovakia. Visit the Schoenbrunn Palace in Vienna, Austria, the former summer residence of Austria's imperial family. Ride a bicycle through the countryside of Krems and Durnstein, or go on a day hike to Kuenringerburg Castle. Tour the birthplace of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Salzburg. Make a marzipan face at a candy shop in Passau, Germany, and then visit St. Stephen's Cathedral and its massive pipe organ before departing from the boat in Regensburg.     • Experience six European countries in nine days with the European Sampler. Begin in London, England, for a tour of several attractions, including Buckingham Palace and St. Paul's Cathedral. Take a train ride to Brussels, Belgium, and then on to Amsterdam, Holland, for a canal cruise of the city. Travel to Cologne, Germany, and see the Gothic cathedral followed by a river cruise down the Rhine. Snap a picture of the Heidelberg Castle on your way to the Black Forest. Explore the Rhine Falls before crossing into Switzerland. Go on a walking tour of the Alpine city of Lucerne and check out the Lion Monument in the Old Town. Ride to Paris, France, for a night at the opera. Tour the Palace of Versailles or watch a cabaret show in this popular city. Prices for this tour start at $1,829, as of October 2010, and are available from April through November.
