Mission Trips to Jamaica

With an average income of less than $5,000 per person, Jamaica is a poor country with definite distinctions between the upper and lower classes. Though there is a strong Christian presence in the country via churches and ministries, a great need still exists for those wanting to serve these impoverished communities through a Christ-based program. Mission trips to Jamaica may focus on a variety of different community needs, from building a school to supplying medical care.
  1. Praying Pelican Missions

    • Praying Pelican Missions arranges short-term mission trips to Jamaica throughout the year. This ministry attempts to establish long-term relationships with the Jamaican communities it serves by bringing each team to a different community and ensuring that repeat missionaries return to the same community. Travelers choose from a variety of service options for their trip, including sports ministries, school ministries, medical ministries and evangelism. Praying Pelican Missions arranges trips for groups, but individuals are also welcome and will be placed with a smaller group. Mission package prices include all accommodations, meals, transportation and a group t-shirt. Airfare and recreational money are not included in the cost.
