The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ECLA) provides a variety of programs in Mexico. The Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) offers a volunteer opportunity to young adults ages 21 to 29. Students participate in solidarity work of all kinds, from teaching English to community development in and around the Cuernavaca, Morelos area. Participants must be college graduates or have applicable life experience. Programs usually start in August and last 11 to 12 months. Applications are accepted through March 1.

Adventures in Missions (AIM) is an interfaith organization started in 1989 that sponsors mission trips all around the world. Presently, AIM provides short-term mission trips of three to seven days in their outreach center in Matamoros, Mexico. Activities are centered around the local church, with the intent of strengthening and supporting it's community ties.

Habitat for Humanity started in 1976 with Linda and Millard Fuller. This well-known Christian-identified organization provides housing for people all around the world. At the moment, Habitat for Humanity offers short-term mission opportunities in Nayarit, Mexico.
