Based in Puerta Vallarta, Jalisoco, Ecotours de Mexico started in 1991 and are one of the first ecotourism companies in Mexico. They are also one of the founders of the Mexican Association of Adventure Travel and Tourism (AMTAVE.) Ecotours offers a large menu of ecologically-oriented activities, from one-day turtle and crocodile camps to a five-day trip to El Rosario and Chincua butterfly sanctuaries. Apart from the programs, Ecotours also participates in conservation projects with humpback whales and sea turtles.
