Recognized as a National Historic Landmark, the 40-acre Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum is home to some of the first railroads in the United States. The museum offers train rides every Wednesday through Sunday; train rides run only one time during the week and multiple times on weekends. The tours, which take place on a steam locomotive, travel for approximately one mile on some of the first railroad tracks. An additional fee, separate from the museum admission, is required when participating on the train tour. Museum members may ride the trains for free.
