Drink lots of water, which hopefully you're carrying with you. Jungles are hot and humid and you're sweating a lot. If you're not carrying water with you, don't start drinking out of random puddles. Collect rain water in banana leaves, or cut off the top of a water vine and drink the water inside.
Find bugs to eat. Bugs are full of protein, easy to find and can help you survive until you can find help. Avoid brightly colored bugs though since they may be poisonous.
Start a fire. A fire can help you survive the night and cook the yummy bugs you've found. Dig a shallow hole and find some dry twigs. Place rocks in the bottom of the twigs so they get super hot. Light the fire either with matches or with the glare off your glasses, a compass or anything glass you have. Once the twigs have burned off and the rocks are hot, place banana leaves over your pit to lock the heat in.
Look around you. During rain storms, so much water and mud can run through the jungle that you can easily lose your footing and get washed away. Try to find some high ground that doesn't look like water rushes down it. However, don't stand next to a sharp edge or rushing water may take you with it.
Push a stick into the ground to find direction. Mark the shadow from the stick and wait about 30 minutes. Mark the new shadow from the stick. Draw a straight line between the two marks. This line points east to west. The sun rises in the east, sets in the west and when you face north, east is to your right.
Flash for help from planes with anything shiny you have.
Run away from snakes, but clap your hands and make lots of noise if large animals approach you.
