One tour starts in Providence, Rhode Island, then heads up to Boston and down to Plymouth, where the Pilgrims first touched land in 1620, and Cape Cod. Trafalgar also has a tour which starts in Boston, then heads up to the Maritime Provinces. On the way back, it stops in Maine for a visit to Arcadia National Park, New England's only national park. The tour ends in Bar Harbor, with transportation back to Boston provided.

For travelers short on time, Gray Line offers bus trips by the day from out of Newport, Rhode Island, and Boston. Day trips from Boston include to Plymouth Plantation, a recreation of Plymouth village back in 1627, and to Marblehead which is the birthplace of the American Navy
