This certification is necessary for the license to be recognized internationally, making your marriage legally legitimate once you return to the United States. You must contact your state's Secretary of State office and pay a small fee to have the office provide an Apostille Certification. If the office is nearby, you can have the certification done in person, otherwise, you must mail your materials to the Secretary of State.
Inform the cruise staff of any religious requirements needed for your wedding. The cruise ship must plan beforehand if you need an alter or other structures and decorations to complete the unification.
