The highest temperature ever reliably recorded in Antarctica is 18.3°C (64.9°F), measured on 30 December 2021 at Esperanza Base (Argentine station) on the Antarctic Peninsula.
This is far below 100°F (37.8°C). The continent's interior regularly drops below -60°C (-76°F) in winter. Even the Peninsula, the mildest region, rarely exceeds 10°C (50°F) in summer.
The 2021 record was verified by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and reflects a warming trend on the Peninsula, but 100°F remains physically implausible under current climate conditions.
