Who is the first person to go antarctica and discover penguins?

There are 18 species of penguins, and they are all flightless birds that are found in the southern hemisphere. The earliest record of a person seeing a penguin is from 1520, when Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan sailed around the southern tip of South America and encountered Magellanic penguins on islands just north of the Antarctic Circle.
